Things everyone should know…

First, this list is in no way essential. Let me be clear on this one point. It’s more of a helpful list. Things I think you should know. Things ranging from popular culture, films & art, to basic history and “weird” science. Some of you will read these postings, shrug and say “meh”. Others of you will find something of use. Probably. So, whether you’re 21 or 81, and you find yourself at a bus stop/cocktail party/funeral, and someone mentions one of the topics covered on this site (which they inevitably will) you will at least have some background information and may even be able to segue into another, related topic. That’s because the information presented here comes to you in a natural, stream-of-consciousness manner. Or “hypertext”. Which is to say, one topic can easily flow into the next. And if you don’t know what hypertext is, don’t worry. It’s on my list.
